Out with the old
It’s craft week here on the ranch as the weather is too unsettled to enjoy being outside. The rain is good for morels but traipsing around under dank and dripping trees is less fun than you might think. Instead I’m cosplaying a character in a Hardy novel; the itinerant chair weaver.
In other news, Mother Goose has hatched 4 goslings and Father Goose has stepped up to the plate and is fiercely guarding them as they make their debut into the world. He stays awake while they and his mate sleep and eat and sail majestically around the pond.
Paris is doing well and we are walking for 30 minutes a day. We are both bored witless, but here we are. Recheck next Monday and hopefully cleared for trotting. If all is well then I plan to go trail riding the last two weeks in June down by Pikes Peak in southern Colorado because even weavers need holidays.
